Each semester, we host a Pre-Orientation about two weeks before classes begin and an Orientation about one week before the start date. Pre-Orientation covers settling in BC and the registration process, while Orientation introduces TWU services, departments, and TLC policies.

Orientation dates for each semester can be found under “Important Dates” in the application section.

Pre-Orientation will cover:

  • How to register for courses

  • Introduction to student accounts and available services
  • How to apply for BC Medical Services Plan (MSP)
  • Overview of tuition fee structure and refund deadlines

International Student Daily Life Information includes:

  1. Banking and setting up a Canadian bank account: When opening a local bank account, you will need to bring pieces of identification, including your passport. Richmond offers a variety of Canadian and international banks

  2. Transportation: The Lower Mainland public transportation system involves Skytrain, local buses, and sea buses.
    Our two Richmond sites are within walking distance of the following Skytrain Stations:

    For Langley campus, bus 562 is the only available public transit option.
