Academic English Study Program (AES) – For Future Undergraduate Studies
To achieve the best result in teaching and learning, undergraduate language preparation programs at TLC are organized to teach academic English skills in a progressive approach within the context of the content area. This Modular Academic System (MAS) of Learning is composed of four progressive levels. Each level will be taught through the lens of 3 Academic Content Areas–Humanities and Social Sciences (MAS-H), Sciences and Math (MAS-S), and Professional Studies (MAS-P). Each level is composed of three 5-week learning and assessment sessions; students are therefore able to start the program every five weeks. In addition to the weekly 20-hours direct learning, students will attend daily Supervised Assignment Session to supplement in-class learning.
